School Rules

  1. Follow directions.
  2. Be considerate - no teasing or put-downs.
  3. Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
  4. Respect others’ property and the environment.
  5. Be in the correct place at the correct time with the correct equipment.
  6. If you do not follow these rules, there are consequences.

Consequences

  1. Your name will be recorded in the Lunchtime Detention Book in the staffroom. The teacher will write the reason.
  2. Next day, you attend Lunchtime Detention in a designated classroom at 12.45pm, with pen and paper. The Detention Teacher will tell you what step you are on.
You must go to Lunchtime Detention one day for each step. You will be released at 1.15pm.
  3. If you are on Lunchtime Detention more than twice in a term, you will also have a half hour after school detention, and your parents will be notified of this.

NOTE: School detention is for serious offences / playground misdemeanors. It is not used for
classroom incidents.

Absenses

The school has a system of checking unexplained absences for all students. Parents must telephone the school office before 9.00am on any day that their child is absent. In addition to this, notes from parents, or medical certificates, are necessary to explain any absences. These are required when the child returns to school.

This is a legal requirement. In the event of your child not turning up at school without notice, we will telephone you at home or work to check on their whereabouts. Please ensure we have your current contact details.
