Water Polo 2008
Water Polo is one of the fastest growing sports in New Zealand. It is fast paced and relies heavily on strategy and skill.
Here at ANI we have 3 teams. Each team has a maximum of 13 players and is a mix of both boys and girls.
We train and play at the Epsom Girls swimming pool, which is indoor and heated. We use the coaching services of the Water Polo Institute. They are highly skilled coaches who develop our players’ fitness, skills and game strategies.
We train once a week, this has been traditionally on Tuesday nights from 7:30 to 8:30pm. Our weekly games are on Friday nights between 4:30 and 8pm.
The weekly draw for the Friday night games is available from the Water Polo Institute website as well as being displayed at school on the sports notice board.
We also attend the following tournaments throughout the year;

- August 1st - 3rd
NZ AIMS National Sporting Championships
- Tauranga September 7th -12th
Tim Sonderer Memorial Trophy
- October 17th -19th
